MRM inaugurates new premises

The new premises of the Montpellier Recherche en Management (MRM) laboratory were inaugurated on Monday May 15, 2023 on the Triolet site in Montpellier.

The inauguration was attended by the President of the University of Montpellier, Mr Philippe Augé, the Vice-President for Research, Mr Jacques Mercier, the Director of the MRM laboratory, Mr Gilles N'Goala, as well as teacher-researchers and doctoral students. It was also an opportunity to get together for an aperitif.

The new offices offer over 200 m² of modern, spacious workspace for laboratory members. It includes two large rooms for PhD students, enabling them to make progress on their research work, as well as a meeting room for 25-30 people, enabling researchers to get together to discuss progress and collaborate with international colleagues (face-to-face or videoconferencing).

At the inauguration, Mr Augé and Mr N'Goala stressed the importance of the human and social sciences in general, and management sciences in particular (Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Accounting, Human Resources, etc.), in leading the transitions facing the world. Thanks to UM's support, MRM now has an excellent working environment in which to boost exchanges and research. This will enable MRM's 220 members to work in the best possible conditions.

This was followed by a General Meeting, to discuss the research results for 2022 and talk about the current year. Bringing together teacher-researchers, doctoral students and administrative staff, the AGM highlighted the progress made, the challenges still ahead and the many events to come, including the now traditional Laboratory Day, which this year will take place at the IAE Perpignan on June 30.
