We are very much looking forward to welcoming you for the first time in Montpellier for the 9th French-Austrian-German Workshop on Consumer Behavior.
Montpellier is a beautiful medieval city located in the South of France on the Mediterranean Sea.
Montpellier is easy to reach, with direct flights from Paris CDG Airport or high-speed train (TGV) in only 3 hours 20 minutes, direct from downtown Paris to downtown Montpellier. From Montpellier, you can also easily visit the French Riviera (3 hours by car) or Barcelona, Spain, around 4 hours by train or car.
Montpellier is an old city with one of the oldest universities in Europe. Easy to walk or shop in the old part of the city, which dates back to the Middle Ages, there are also lovely contemporary areas with shopping, art museums, and restaurants. Good public transportation is also available with 4 tram lines.
The conference will take place at Montpellier Management (MOMA) located on the Montpellier-Richter Campus, accessible in 15 minutes by tram from the heart of the city. This contemporary setting is also easily reached from the hotels. Around 4,000 students are enrolled at the campus and there are 200 more students abroad.
Montpellier University, a public university, is among the best French universities and regularly appears in international rankings such as Shanghai. The University of Montpellier was founded in 1289; its University of Medicine, located in the old part of Montpellier, is famous for its history and has been the setting for several French movies. We will welcome attendees at a reception there on Wednesday, June 25.

From Montpellier Saint-Roch Train Station Montpellier Saint-Roch Train Station
If you are coming from Saint-Roch Train Station in Montpellier, please follow these steps:
- After exiting the train station, go straight and take tram line 1 (blue tram with white birds on it) in the direction of Odysseum.
- Although transportation is free in Montpellier for locals, you will need to purchase a ticket from the ticket machines at the tram station and scan it inside the tram after boarding. It is recommended to use a bank card to purchase the ticket because if you use coins, you will not receive any remaining credit back.
- Get off the tram at Port Marrianne station.
- Once you get off, cross the road and walk straight along Rue Vendémiaire. After about 3 to 5 minutes, you will reach Montpellier Management Campus-Richter, Building B, on the right side, which is located within the university area.
- You can also get off at the Rives du Lez tram stop, then walk towards the river along Boulevard des Consuls de Mer, cross the bridge, and go straight to Building B as shown on the map below.
From Montpellier Sud de France Train Station Montpellier Sud de France Train Station
If you are coming from Montpellier Sud de France Train Station, please follow these steps:
- Take the Navette Gare bus shuttle from the "Gare Montpellier Sud de France" train station to the Place de France tram station.
- From Place de France, take tram line 1 towards Mosson.
- Get off the tram at Port Marianne station, and follow the walking directions as mentioned above to reach Montpellier Management Campus-Richter, Building B.
From Montpellier Airport
If you are coming from Montpellier Airport, please follow these steps:
- By taxi or Uber/Bolt
You can take a taxi or Uber, which will cost between €23 and €35 to get from the airport to Montpellier Management Campus – Richter, and it will take approximately 20 to 25 minutes.
- Bus Line 620 (Airport Shuttle)
You can also take the bus from "Montpellier Airport-Aéroport Montpellier" to "Place de l'Europe" tram station.
(Buses run every 30 minutes from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., with additional departures at 9:45 p.m., 11:00 p.m., and 12:30 a.m. The bus fare is €2, and a combined bus and tram ticket costs €3. Tickets can be purchased from the driver when boarding the bus.)
From the "Place de l'Europe" tram station, take tram line 1 towards Odysseum.
Get off the tram at Rives du Lez or Port Marianne station and follow the walking directions as mentioned above to reach Montpellier Management Campus-Richter, Building B.
