Colette Fourcade is an Honorary Associate Professor (HDR) at the University of Montpellier and holds a Doctorate in Economics. Her work focuses on small and very small businesses in relation to local development. She also studies artisanal businesses. Her research on regional networks of small businesses has applications in the agri-food sector. As Secretary General of AIREPME, the International Association for Research on Entrepreneurship and SMEs, she is a recipient of the AIREPME Julien-Marchesnay Award. She has been awarded an honorary doctorate from the University of Minsk in Belarus. She is a Knight of the Order of Academic Palms.
