Colette Fourcade is Honorary Senior Lecturer (HDR) at the University of Montpellier, and holds a PhD in Economics. Her work focuses on small and very small businesses, in relation to local development. She also works on craft enterprises. Her research on territorial networks of small businesses has applications in the agri-food sector. Secretary General of AIREPME, Association Internationale de Recherche en Entrepreneuriat et PME, she is the winner of AIREPME's Julien-Marchesnay prize. She was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Minsk in Belarus. She is a Chevalier des Palmes Académiques.
