Writing a Thesis in Management Science

The Doctoral School – EDEG

The MRM Laboratory is affiliated withEDEG (DS ), the Doctoral School of Economics and Management, located on the University of Montpellier’s Richter Campus.

Working closely with doctoral students, she is involved in the following areas in particular:

  • Scientific and administrative approval of doctoral program applications
  • the organization of doctoral fellowship competitions
  • the organization and management of course modules
  • thesis defenses
  • HDR defenses (Qualification to Supervise Research)

Training Modules – Minimum of 100 hours

As part of their doctoral program, students must complete 100 hours of modules, courses, or training sessions.
These courses are organized by the EDEG.
The catalog and procedures are available on the website under the “Modules” section.

There are also career readiness modules organized by the Doctoral College.
Participation in one of these modules is considered equivalent to a 20-hour course offered by the Doctoral School. (Please note: Only one career readiness module may be counted toward replacing an EDEG course.)

Defend one's dissertation

The award of a doctoral degree is contingent upon the completion of a dissertation and its defense, which mark the culmination of the research conducted during the doctoral program.
